NEW DELHI:
Varun Gandhi has received a content violation notice from Twitter. On Thursday, the BJP MP urged the microblogging site to make public the legal notice sent by an “Indian law enforcement” agency for allegedly posting content against local laws.
The MP posted a screenshot of the email correspondence he received from Twitter, which stated that some content on his timeline violated Indian laws.
“Twitter advocates for free expression, but fails in deed. I am certain I have violated no law and that no law agency would have found anything offensive in my tweets. @Twitter should clarify their basis for such correspondence. Shocked by their behaviour,” he wrote in a thread.
Varun also said that “Twitter has indulged in online bullying of our citizens for their diversity of political views to make us conform with their woke propaganda.”
